Anything but outdated!

My calligraphy is an up to date graphic element for any exhibition.

  • For the permanent exhibit in the town museum archive in Bochum I designed the handwritten part of the logo and two areas of blackboard foils which were used to invite the visitors to add their visions and important people of their town.
  • For the bar in the tower of a castle which is used as a cultural center in Aachen I inscribed the wooden banner on the walls.
  • For the exhibit “Errors and forgery in archeology” I was filmed as a monk writing with a quill on parchment forging a medieval certificate.
  • For the special exhibit “Modern Times—Archeological finds of modern times and their stories” I transformed pictures into simplified outline drawings where the found parts of bigger objects were highlighted.
  • For the anniversary exhibit “60 Years of [the open-air museum] Kommern” I contributed some handwritten texts.
  • And I designed partly the logo, too. (conceptual design: Suna Niemetz Concepts & Design)
  • Design of a fictive “journal of a fortress commander” for the fortress museum Pfalzgrafenstein. The writing includes smudges and mistakes, too. The purpose of the journal is to give visitors an idea how the conditions were to work in a fortress back then.
  • For the archeological exhibit about Vietnam I designed the main title and titles for the different areas of the exhibit.

  • Another item of the Vietnam exhibit was a big bronze drum with a lot of figures I traced and vectorized.
  • Vietnam ist also called “land of the ascending dragon”. This inspired me to create a dragon out of the letters of the word “Vietnam” as a possible alternative for the logo of the exhibit.
  • For an exhibit about the protestant reformation I was asked to design the central term “Wort” (word).
